The Isolde Earrings
The Isolde Sterling Silver Celtic Earrings are named for Isolde, Irish princess, legendary beauty and wife of King Mark of Cornwall. She eloped with Tristan, son of Mark, giving rise to one of the great epic Celtic love stories, subsequently strongly influencing European literature art and music. As Tristan escorted Isolde from Ireland en route to her wedding to Mark in Cornwall, they unwittingly imbibed a magical potion and became forever bound in love together. The design is a love knot entwined. It is the symbol of the eternal lovers in joyous harmony, forever within the circle of eternity.
